Relations between Moscow and Beijing have reached an unprecedented high level. About it stated Russian President Vladimir Putin in his greeting to the participants, organizers and guests of the V Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.
“Relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China have reached an unprecedented high level and continue to develop dynamically,” he noted.
Putin named energy as one of the key areas of cooperation between the two countries. According to him, interaction between Russia and China on these issues is becoming “increasingly active and multifaceted.” In particular, Moscow and Beijing are implementing projects in the oil and gas sector and in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, and there is also an increase in the supply of Russian energy resources to China, the president added.
Putin was on an official visit to China on October 17-18. The Russian leader took part in the III International Forum “One Belt – One Road”, and also held negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping and a number of other leaders who participated in the forum. During a press conference in Beijing, Putin statedthat security threats in the world strengthen Russian-Chinese relations.
