Putin ordered to deal with the “hockey dealers”

It is necessary to understand what to do with the “hockey businessmen” who send young athletes abroad. President Vladimir Putin gave this instruction to the head of the Russian Hockey Federation (RFH) Vladislav Tretyak and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

“We need to understand what we should do with the “hockey businessmen” who select children from sports schools and drag them abroad,” the president said at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.

According to Putin, this “business” is not always regulated and “not always noble.”

“There’s a lot of dependence there, there’s a lot of money floating around. And this causes obvious damage to us,” the head of state said.

Tretyak was re-elected to the post of president of the FHR in May 2022. Tretyak set out his tasks for the next four years named development of children’s sports and the return of Russian teams to international competitions.
