Al Arabiya writesthat a large-scale fire broke out on the evening of September 26. According to preliminary information, the cause was “the use of fireworks during the wedding ceremony,” which led to “a fire inside the hall, and then the expansion of the circle of fire and the collapse of parts of the hall.” There are conflicting reports about the number of victims. Iraqi Health Ministry spokesman Saif Al-Bader said the death toll from the fire has now reached 87 people.
