Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Security Council the use of new technologies for state defense, reported Kremlin press service.
“Today we will talk about the introduction of modern technologies to ensure the defense and security of the state,” Putin suggested to the participants of the operational meeting. He asked Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko to make a report first.
The meeting was also attended by the chairmen of the State Duma and the Federation Council Vyacheslav Volodin and Valentina Matvienko, deputy chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, head of the presidential administration Anton Vaino and others.
On October 7, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at a strategic session of the council of the military innovation technopolis “ERA” in Anapa told, that in the state arms program for 2025-2034. For the first time, a separate section on artificial intelligence (AI) will be provided. According to him, the increased attention to AI technologies is justified by the new realities of combat.
Chernyshenko then emphasized that the country is now actively forming a market for AI-based technologies that have the potential for a wide range of applications. He called for organizing an effective transfer of technologies available both for the security sector and for the entire market.
