Putin and Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and security of the Black Sea region

President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the development of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation. The Kremlin press service shares the relevant information.

The report said that Putin and Erdogan discussed issues of strengthening international stability and security. There was also talk about the Black Sea region.

Based on the results of the conversation in the press service Kremlin pointed out the following: “[В ходе разговора] a mutual desire was expressed for further close interaction in the interests of developing multifaceted Russian-Turkish relations.”

The day before, Erdogan, during a speech to ambassadors of foreign countries, announced the impossibility of successfully implementing peace plans for Ukraine without taking into account the position of the Russian Federation.
