Putin agreed to increase the state duty for obtaining a foreign passport

On Monday, November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law proposing an increase in the state fee for issuing a foreign passport. RIA Novosti reports this.

The cost of the service increases from 5 thousand to 6 thousand rubles for a new generation passport with electronic media, for children under 14 years old – from 2.5 thousand to 3 thousand rubles. A refugee travel document, as well as registration of foreign citizens at their place of residence in the Russian Federation, will cost 420 instead of 350 rubles.

The issuance and extension of a visa to enter or leave Russia will rise in price to 1.2 thousand from 1 thousand rubles, a multiple-entry visa – to 1.92 thousand from 1.6 thousand rubles.

The corresponding prices will be valid from July 1, 2024. The indexation rate will be 20%.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law increasing the minimum wage to 19,242 rubles.

The corresponding minimum wage level will be introduced on January 1, 2024.
