Prime Minister Netanyahu presented a plan for a post-war settlement in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a plan for a post-war settlement in the Gaza Strip, which was presented to the military-political cabinet. According to adviser Dmitry Gendelman, Netanyahu proposed a strategy for the “day after” Hamas, including the destruction of Hamas’ military capabilities and infrastructure, as well as the return of prisoners and long-term prevention of the threat from Gaza.

Once the goals are achieved, Israel will maintain control of the Gaza Strip and the border with Egypt, cooperating with Egypt and the United States. Netanyahu’s plan also includes the complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, with the exception of weapons necessary for public order.

In the civilian sphere, power in the region will be transferred to local forces without links to terrorist groups, and a deradicalization program will be carried out with the participation of Arab states.

It was previously reported that Israel faced a challenge in planning the evacuation of Palestinian refugees from Rafah, which borders the Gaza Strip and Egypt. More about this read the material Public News Service.
