Polyansky: The UN did not support a statement condemning the presidential elections in the Russian Federation

Only 56 member countries of the United Nations (UN) out of 193 supported a statement condemning the presidential election Russian Federation. Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, spoke about this in his Telegram channel.

“For a week, Westerners tried to actively twist the arms of all UN members so that they would join a joint statement condemning the elections in Russia. Many people told us about this and complained. <…> In the end there were 56 countries. Out of 193 members of the UN! This is objectively everyone who remained in their anti-Russian positions after the start of the SVO,” the diplomat wrote.

Among those who signed the resolution are: United States, Germany, FranceFinland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Spain, ItalyIsrael, Georgia, Greece, Bulgaria, Austria, Albania, Sweden, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania and other countries.
