Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that the average life expectancy of Russian citizens has reached a record high and amounted to 73.5 years. About it writes “Radio 1”.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of Demography, Migration and Regional Development (IDMRR) Yuri Krupnov believes that the figures correspond to reality. He recalled that such an indicator of life expectancy was observed in Europe in 1973.

According to him, it is worth taking into account the achievements of modern medicine. He emphasized that they made it possible to reduce the infant mortality rate. Krupnov added that the situation is not so rosy.
