Polish Foreign Ministry: NATO countries may begin to shoot down missiles flying near their borders

Deputy Foreign Minister Poland Andrzej Szejna said that members of the North Atlantic Alliance are studying the possibility of shooting down missiles that fly near NATO borders.

Thus, Sheina commented on reports of a missile that violated Polish airspace.

On the radio station RMF24, Sheina pointed out the following: “In NATO “Various concepts are being analyzed, including that such missiles be shot down when they are very close to the alliance border.”

However, according to him, this requires taking into account the international consequences.

Meanwhile, the former commander of the Polish ground forces, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, said that the incident with a Russian cruise missile that allegedly flew into the airspace of the republic could have happened by accident.
