Police detained a 22-year-old car arsonist in St. Petersburg

Law enforcement officers detained a young man suspected of setting fire to five cars in the courtyard of a house in St. Petersburg. The press service of the city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed about this on Wednesday, February 7th.

It is specified that the incident occurred on January 28 on Rashetovaya Street in the Vyborg district of the Northern capital. According to law enforcement officials, the fire started from a Skoda Kodiaq car, after which the flames spread to a BMW X5, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Toyota Land Cruiser parked nearby. The first foreign car was completely burned out, while the others were damaged.

As a result, the 22-year-old suspect was detained on February 1 in Rossoshi, Voronezh region. A criminal case was opened against him.
