Official dealers are faced with a problem in servicing Chinese cars

Russian dealers have encountered problems servicing Chinese cars. Thus, one of the problems was the impossibility of fully diagnosing the car due to the fact that it does not have the necessary software. This was reported by the Union of Automotive Services.

Problems arise with Chinese cars that were delivered to Russia under a parallel import scheme. Official dealers cannot service or repair such cars because the dealer software cannot recognize gray cars.

The general director of the Eastcom car dealership stated that there are problems with servicing parallel Changan cars. Official dealers have software only for specific models from Russian distributors. This makes it difficult to repair and maintain machines supplied through parallel imports.

Geely Motors Russia reported that there is no information on Russian diagnostic servers about cars intended for other markets.

It was previously reported that Chelyabinsk engineers had invented a module that prevents the formation of icicles. Designer Igor Ponasyuk created a module that consists of a heating cable made of an aluminum-polymer composite, which is imprinted into a flat panel. The device prevents the formation of icicles. It is attached along the contour of the roof. The inventor stated that these modules can be used not only on roofs, but also under pavement tiles. With their help, the tiles will always be dry.
