Nepal calls on Russia to invest in hydropower and fertilizer production

At a meeting with Russian Ambassador Alexei Novikov, the head of the Ministry of Finance of Nepal, Barshaman Pun, spoke about plans to attract investment in the field of hydropower and the production of chemical fertilizers in the country, TASS reports.

The Finance Minister also invited Russians to participate in these projects, noting Nepal’s willingness to create a favorable atmosphere for investment.

“If Russia is interested in investing, we are ready to create the atmosphere for this,” Poon said.

In response, the Russian diplomat promised to discuss this issue with potential investors, and also emphasized that Russia is interested in Nepal’s investments “from a geopolitical point of view.”
