Narcologist Novikov reminded about the dangers of champagne for teenagers on New Year’s Eve

Deputy Chairman of the International League of Sobriety and Health, psychiatrist-narcologist Oleg Novikov, warned that offering minors a glass of champagne on New Year’s Eve could be dangerous. He recalled that in men, the brain stops forming only at the age of twenty-five.

“When patients come to me, I always ask at what age they started drinking alcohol. And if they start drinking at the age of 14, then by the age of 35 they already have sawdust in their heads,” expert Reedus quotes.

Novikov emphasized that from the outside it may seem like one glass for the New Year is not so much, but later this can lead to serious problems.

“Champagne is the same alcohol. It seems that one glass under the control of parents will not harm a teenager, but in fact this will lead to the fact that they will not have any control in the future,” he concluded.

Earlier, psychiatrist and president of the Independent Narcological Guild Ruslan Isaev warned that champagne can quietly lead to alcohol addiction. This is especially worth remembering during the New Year holidays, when feasts are rarely complete without this drink. More about this read the material Public News Service.
