Since the start of registration for the “It’s Our Family” competition, more than 60,000 families, or 340,000 people, have applied to participate in it. This was announced by the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, during his speech at the first meeting of the competition’s supervisory board.
“Today, 340,000 people have registered to participate in it, and applications are still being accepted – until November 4. Participation in the “It’s Our Family” competition gives families the opportunity to win 5 million rubles. to improve living conditions. An equally interesting prize is unique travel to the most beautiful and amazing places in the country. All family teams are absolutely amazing, they are a source of pride for Russia,” Kiriyenko said.
According to the general director of the ANO “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”, on the basis of which the competition is being implemented, and the rector of RANEPA Alexey Komissarov, family teams have been formed in each of the regions of Russia. The most active applications are left by residents of the Central, Volga and Siberian Federal Districts (29%, 20% and 12% respectively). In terms of the number of participants, Moscow (10.3%), Moscow region (6.4%) and St. Petersburg (almost 4%) are in the lead. In addition, the teams also include relatives from other countries – from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and about 60 other countries.
Komissarov noted that women predominate among the competition participants (62% versus 38% men). The share of parents and children is distributed almost equally – 37% and 36%, respectively. In addition, grandparents (21%), great-grandparents (1%) and other relatives (5%) take part in the competition.
Registration for the competition was opened on September 8, the launch of such a project was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking on September 1 at the Senezh educational center as part of the open lesson “Talking about Important Things.” “Of course, such a competitive project at the family level would, in my opinion, be extremely popular and would certainly be very interesting,” Putin noted then, clarifying that this competition could become the most popular.
Applications for the competition will be accepted until November 4, and the remote stage of the competition will take place in December, Komissarov noted. According to him, from March to May 2024, the final stages in the districts should take place, and in the summer – the all-Russian final with summing up the results.
