Mishustin suspended the transition of the Russian Federation to the International Classification of Diseases

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Friday, February 2, signed an order suspending Russia’s transition to the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 11th revision (ICD-11). RBC reports this.

Prior to this, it was planned to switch to the appropriate classification during 2021-2024, revise the regulations for this, and also create the necessary service infrastructure.

In June, it became known that consideration of the issue of the final transition to ICD-11 was postponed to 2025.

Prior to this, the Patriarchal Commission on Family Issues, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood opposed joining this classification due to the presence of values “alien” to Russia in it, in particular the attitude towards pedophilia “as a deviation only if the pedophile feels discomfort from it” .

Earlier it was reported that work on a draft law concerning the safety of women and children had begun in the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. He proposes the introduction of life imprisonment for pedophiles.
