Ministry of Finance: 1.99 trillion rubles have already been allocated from the budget for national projects

Expenditures of the Russian federal budget on the implementation of national projects amounted to 1.991 trillion rubles as of October 1. or 68.8% of the plan, reported on the Ministry of Finance website.

“According to preliminary data, the execution of federal budget expenditures for the implementation of national projects as of October 1, 2023 amounted to 1,991.8 billion rubles. or 68.8% of planned budget assignments,” the message says.

Expenditures on the national projects “Science and Universities” (81.5%), “Culture” (81.2%), and “Housing and Urban Environment” – (76.7%) were implemented to the greatest extent. The lowest figures were recorded for the national projects “Tourism and Hospitality Industry” (47.2%) and “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives” (56.2%).

In the summer of 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, with the participation of the State Council, to adjust national projects taking into account new national goals. The deadline for their implementation was shifted from 2024 to 2030. At the same time, the authorities began to raise the issue of implementing projects after 2024 in 2022. As Vedomosti wrote in August, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov offered preserve the mechanism of national projects after 2024 and aim them at structural restructuring of the economy and ensuring technological sovereignty.
