The Diya application in Ukraine encountered a failure due to the huge number of users who accessed this resource, said the country’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov. The incident occurred during voting for the finalists of the Eurovision music competition.
According to information from the Ukrainian publication Novosti.live, server capacity was increased five times, but the number of requests increased 20 times.
It is clarified that previously the average was 800 requests per second, but this time more than 15 thousand were recorded. According to Fedorov, quoted by Strana on the Telegram channel, this is a record number.
“I apologize for this situation. We will do a detailed analysis, analysis and implement organizational changes to be prepared for such waves of traffic,” the minister added.
