The head of the Meteo forecasting center, Alexander Shuvalov, on Thursday, February 8, announced the departure of Cyclone Olga from Central Russia.
“Cyclone Olga has already retreated to the east; only 12 hours were enough for it to pass the Moscow region with noise and roar and heavy snowfall, simultaneously capturing the Tver, Yaroslavl, Tula, Ryazan regions, where up to 20% of the monthly norm fell,” – said the specialist.
The meteorologist noted that strong snowstorms are typical for February.
