Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Friday, February 2, warned NATO countries that if the alliance’s military were stationed in Ukraine, they would become a legitimate target for the Russian military. He wrote about this on his page on the social network VKontakte.

“They will certainly become a legitimate target for our armed forces and will be ruthlessly destroyed as enemies,” Medvedev threatened.

He advised remembering a possible response from the Russian side to “all the helmets with NATO symbols who today swaggeringly rattle their weapons not far from our borders.”
