Media: Britain will send troops to Ukraine for military training

The British Ministry of Defense intends to deploy its troops in Ukraine for the first time “in accordance with plans being discussed in the military command.” About it reports the Telegraph newspaper with reference to the country’s defense minister Grant Shapps.

The article said Shapps negotiated to move the official UK-led Ukrainian military training program “to Ukraine” rather than relying on UK and other NATO member bases. He called on British defense firms to open more factories in Ukraine.

US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene commented on the information that Britain is going to station military personnel in Ukraine to train Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters there. “No American troops [на Украине]!,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of military aid to Ukraine and pointed to the increasing direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine.
