Kommersant journalist Alexey Khodorych has died



Kommersant newspaper journalist Alexey Khodorych died at the age of 50. reported journalist Gennady Koskin on Vkontakte.

Alexey Khodorych was born in 1972 in the village of Petropavlovskoye, Stavropol Territory. He has worked at Kommersant since 1998 and served as a group leader at the Kommersant-Dengi magazine. Khodorych was also the editor-in-chief of the entertaining children’s publication “Cool Magazine” and worked as a host of radio programs.

He was twice a laureate of the Prize. Nikita Kirichenko in 2005 and 2006, laureate of the Second All-Russian Business Journalism Competition “Financial Russia” in 2000. Laureate of the Rotor competition in the categories “Editor of the Year” (2010) and “Magnificent Twenty” (2007, 2009 and 2010 gg.).

In 2005, he was awarded a special prize from the Union of Journalists for the book “Moonshine Chronicles” (the journalist co-authored): about the history and creation of the Kosogorov Moonshine brand, co-owned by Khodorych.
