The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala found ex-employees of the Russian Guard Suleiman and Salman Kurbanov guilty of the murder of the former head of the village of Novokuli, Novolaksky district of Dagestan, Abakar Kaplanov. About it reports “Kommersant” (“Kommersant”).

Later, relations worsened over the brothers’ land plot in the village of Novostroy. An acquaintance of the ex-official began to lay claim to him. The Russian Guard received threats. They reported to the police.
On February 6, 2021, Kaplanov was called to the department. During a quarrel in the office, the men fired 36 rounds of service pistols at him. The shooters were arrested.
