Kiev residents held a rally in support of demobilization

Mass protests in support of the demobilization of military personnel after 18 months of service took place in the center of Kyiv. According to the Hromadske publication, several hundred people, mostly relatives of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), took part in the demonstration on Independence Square.

Similar rallies also took place in other Ukrainian cities, including Lviv, Odessa and Sumy, the Public publication reports. The protesters expressed their protest against the lack of a specific period of service for those mobilized during martial law, in accordance with the current law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service.”

Currently, the law does not provide clear regulations for military personnel who are undergoing mobilization service. Protesters demand that the authorities quickly resolve this problem in order to establish a clear term of service for military personnel undergoing mobilization.

Previously, a case was opened in the Pskov region after insults to a veteran of the Northern Military District. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
