Khizriev’s UFC fight ended due to an eye poke

The meeting between Russian MMA fighter Aliaskhab Khizriev and Uzbek Makhmud Muradov as part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in Las Vegas had to be suspended due to an accidental poke in the eye.

The fight on the main card lasted eleven seconds: the Russian athlete accidentally hit his opponent in the eye, and it was decided to suspend the fight because Muradov was unable to recover.

Earlier it became known that British boxer Tyson Fury withdrew from the fight against Ukrainian fighter Alexander Usik for the world heavyweight title.

It is alleged that the reason for the postponement of the fight was that the British fighter received a cut on his eyebrow during sparring. Initially, the fight was supposed to take place on February 17 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. Fury himself said that Usik, without the transfer, would have had serious problems in the ring.
