Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz met with the musicians of the Bi-2 group deported from Thailand. TASS reports this with reference to the politician’s social networks.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a photograph in which he is captured with all the artists of the popular group. The meeting took place today, February 1st. “I told them I was happy we were able to get them to Israel,” Katz wrote.
He also did not rule out that the artists could be extradited to Russia. According to him, there the Bi-2 participants would have faced a long prison sentence. However, Katz said it is his job to care for and protect Israeli citizens around the world.
Let us remind you that the musicians of the group “Bi-2” were released from custody on January 31, 2024. They ended up there immediately after an illegal concert in Phuket.
Earlier, MP Viktor Bout named the features of the Thai prison in which the artists were kept. Prisoners can order food from cafes and restaurants, but many are adversely affected by the extreme heat. At night the temperature can reach 30 degrees Celsius. More details in material Public News Service.
