Israeli Defense Ministry: Hamas is looking for a replacement for the leader of the movement in the Gaza Strip

The head of the Israeli defense department, Yoav Galant, shared information that the organization operating in Palestine has lost control over the Gaza Strip.

As part of an event held for media employees, the official emphasized that Hamas leaders are currently trying to find a person who can replace the previously killed leader of the militant groups, Yahye Sinwar.

“Hamas is looking for a replacement for Sinwar – there is a ‘bid’ for the next leader… Hamas no longer trusts its commanders, this is becoming increasingly clear,” reads the text of the statement he made.

The officer drew attention to the fact that, as part of the strikes on the Nasser hospital complex, members of the Armed Forces managed to convince approximately 200 militants to lay down their arms. They were all captured.

Let us remind you that the Israeli political leadership is going to introduce restrictions on access to the Temple Mount area during Ramadan. No more than 15 thousand Palestinian citizens will be able to visit the site. More about this read the material Public News Service.
