Israel promised to continue the operation in Gaza until Hamas is completely destroyed

“Obviously I cannot refer to specific details, I can only say one thing: the operation will not be quick and will take time. And as I already mentioned, we will not give up until Hamas is destroyed – not only for us, but for the entire civilized world,” Shikli emphasized.

The minister also thanked the United States, France and Great Britain for their support.

The militants attacked the army’s border units, entered Israeli populated areas and took hostages from both military and civilians. According to the latest data, the death toll in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has exceeded 4,000 people: on the Israeli side it has reached 1,400 people, on the Palestinian side it has exceeded 2,670. On October 14, the Russian Embassy in Israel reported the death of 16 Russian citizens, eight people are listed as missing.
