Investigative Committee charged musician Namin’s stepson with double murder



The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the Moscow Region charged the stepson of rock singer Stas Namin, Roman Mikoyan, with double murder of his grandmother and brother, should from the department’s message on the Telegram channel.

Mikoyan is charged with committing a crime under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons). Punishment under the article provides for imprisonment from eight to 20 years or life imprisonment.

The department noted that during interrogation he confessed to the crime and stated that he was prompted to murder by a “long-standing family conflict.” According to him, after a quarrel, he waited until the grandmother fell asleep and then killed her. After that, he asked his brother to come over the phone. There was also a conflict between them, after which the accused killed his brother.

It is clarified that the accused himself called the police. Forensic medical and psychological-psychiatric examinations will be carried out in the case. Material was also taken from the accused to check his state of intoxication.

What happened became known earlier October 19th. The media published a video in which Mikoyan confessed to the murders. This happened on October 18. The bodies with stab wounds were found the next morning in a country house in the Istra district. As reported, the son and mother-in-law of Stas Namin, cinematographer Artem Mikoyan and the owner of the house Praskovya Tkachenko, were killed.
