Head of the RFU: The Serbs were pressured so that the match with Russia would not take place

A number of countries put serious pressure on Serbia and her football national team so that it refuses to hold a friendly match with national team Russia, however, the Serbs showed what true partnership is. This was stated by Alexander Dyukov, head of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

“I want to thank them for making this match happen. A number of countries put strong pressure on them so that this visit and game would not take place. But they are great, that’s what real partnership means. It is very important for Russian football that we played this match,” Dyukov said.

Let us remind you that the result of the game between Russia and Serbia was the victory of the Russian team with a score 4:0. Among the winners, Anton Miranchuk (from the penalty spot), Maxim Osipenko, Alexey Miranchuk and Ivan Sergeev scored goals.
