According to information received from ERR, Riho Terras, who is Estonia’s representative in the European Parliament (EP), criticized the organization of elections in several regions of Russia. In his opinion, they do not correspond to democratic principles.
The main regions questioned by Riho are the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and Crimea. According to the politician, the election procedure in these territories does not meet international democratic standards.
Thus, the representative of the EP invited his colleagues to support his initiative to refuse to recognize the results of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation. But his proposal resonated with only 29 of the EP’s 705 members.
“Terrace’s appeal was signed by deputies from Estonia, Bulgaria, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Hungary,” the portal reports.
It became known earlierthat the French publication Le Figaro published an article noting that Ukraine is faced with serious problems from which it is “bursting at the seams.”
It was also reportedthat the United States adopted Project Paperclip after the end of World War II, transporting German scientists to its territory, ignoring the capture of Nazi murderers.
