“Alexei Viktorovich’s life has always been closely connected with Uralvagonzavod. He really loved tanks, he liked to design and come up with various upgrades. For many years he worked in mechanical assembly production. He went to Irbit for several years. But still he returned to his native Nizhny Tagil and to his native plant, as a mechanic in a foundry. Then Golovnin was offered to head the Ice Sports Palace,” said Uralvagonzavod.

It is known that Golovnin went to the combat zone as a volunteer, but he was not taken immediately because he had no combat experience. After several attempts, he was finally able to find himself on the line of contact, becoming the commander of the T-72 tank. The man himself claimed that his love for Russia prompted him to go to the Northern Military District.

During the special operation, the fighter was awarded the medal “For Combat Distinction” for his actions in offensive operations, as well as the medal “For Courage.” Currently, Alexey is declared missing. On March 20 he turned 44 years old. At home, Golovnin is waiting for his husband and children.
