Colonel Arbaretiere: France can station troops in Ukraine along the Dnieper

French Colonel Vincent Arbaretiere suggested that Paris could choose two scenarios for deploying troops in Ukraine. His words are quoted by LCI TV channel.

The material indicates that the Dnieper divides Ukraine into two parts: eastern and western. Arbaretiere stressed that the water barrier is of strategic importance. According to him, the terrain makes it possible to observe enemy actions and conduct defense.

Thus, the colonel noted that French Armed Forces groups could take positions along the Dnieper. According to the second scenario, we are talking about the state border of Ukraine with Belarus.

The colonel expressed the opinion that France can send its troops to Ukraine quite quickly, unlike Germany.

Arbaretiere explained that the German chancellor needs to obtain the consent of the Bundestag for such actions, and the French leader can make such decisions by bypassing parliament.

Earlier, the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, said that France was preparing a military contingent to be sent to Ukraine. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
