Oleg Tataurov, who trains the silver medalist of the Russian Figure Skating Championship Vladislav Dikidzhi, told the details of the attack on the athlete in the St. Petersburg metro. RIA Novosti reports this.
According to him, the attacker turned out to be a 60-year-old inadequate man. He attacked a 19-year-old figure skater for no reason with a knife in a subway car.
“He doesn’t have any cuts. This man was inadequate – today is Friday, maybe he was drunk. First he started to take his backpack, then he put a knife on him,” the coach said.
He added that due to the fact that Dikiji was wearing headphones at that moment, he did not understand what happened, pushed the attacker away and went out to the station.
The athlete wrote a statement to the police to search for the man and further investigation, Tataurov added.
Earlier it was reported that in Germany, in the city of Hamburg, an unknown person attacked two people with a knife and killed them. The incident occurred in the Bielstedt area.
