Central Election Commission: Putin leads in the Russian presidential elections with 87.8% of the votes

Vladimir Putin leading in presidential elections Russian Federation with 87.97 percent of the votes. The RIA Novosti agency reports this with reference to the first data from the Central Election Commission (CEC).

This information was published in the CEC information center. Vladimir Putin is participating in the Russian presidential elections as a self-nominated candidate.

Following him are Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), head of the committee State Duma on the development of the Far East and the Arctic (3.8 percent of votes), Nikolay Davankov (“New people”), Deputy Speaker of the State Duma (3.73 percent) and Leonid Slutsky (LDPR2.96 percent).
