CEC: In the Russian Federation, voter turnout in the presidential elections reached 60% at 9:28 am

In the territory Russian Federation Voter turnout in the presidential election rose to 60 percent at 9:28 a.m. Moscow time. The corresponding data was published by representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on its official website. The information appeared on Sunday, March 17.

As part of the campaign, which was carried out in 2018, when it was possible to vote within one day, the turnout by 10:00 am was recorded at 16.55 percent, by noon – 34.72 percent, by 17:00 – 51.9 percent, noted the authors of RIA Novosti. Moreover, after processing 99.83 percent of the protocols provided by precinct commissions, the turnout turned out to be above 67 percent.

Previously Public News Service reported, that Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Bulaev reported that 83% of registered voters have already voted remotely through the federal platform. However, the CEC expects turnout to reach 90% under this voting system.
