Carolina beat Toronto in an NHL match

The match of the regular championship of the National hockey leagues (NHL), in which the Carolina Hurricanes hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs. The result of the game was the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:1.

Brady Shea and Sebastian Aho scored goals for the winners. Nicholas Robertson scored the only goal for Toronto. Russian hockey players “Carolina” and “Toronto” (Andrey Svechnikov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov and Ilya Lyubushkin) did not perform well.

This victory allowed Carolina to rise to third place in the NHL Eastern Conference standings, with the team having 97 points. Toronto has eight points less and is fifth in the East. In the next round, Carolina will meet with Pittsburgh, and Toronto will play with New Jersey.
