Italian film director and screenwriter Paolo Taviani died at the age of 92 after a short illness, the newspaper Il Messaggero reports. A farewell to him is planned for March 4 at the Rome City Hall.

Paolo Taviani worked in tandem with his brother Vittorio, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 88. This film duo has produced many films, many of which have won awards at film festivals.
