Blogger Belotserkovskaya was fined again for violating the law on foreign agents
The Petrograd District Court of St. Petersburg again fined blogger Veronica Belotserkovskaya (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for failure to provide information about the activities of a foreign agent, reported Telegram channel of the joint press service of the city courts.
We are talking about Part 2 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to provide information, the provision of which is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents). The fine amounted to 35,000 rubles. Last time on this article the blogger was fined October 6.
In February, Belotserkovskaya was sentenced in absentia to nine years in prison, having found her guilty of discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Prosecutor General’s Office asked the blogger to assign such a deadline. Belotserkovskaya is also prohibited from administering electronic and Internet resources for five years.
The blogger is not in Russia, she is on the international wanted list, but Interpol refused to consider the case of her extradition. The term of punishment will be calculated from the moment of her detention on Russian territory or extradition to Russia. In July 2022, Belotserkovskaya was included in the register of foreign agents.
