Biden: US won’t support Rafah operation without plan to protect Palestinians

The United States will not support any Israeli operation that does not provide security for Palestinian citizens. Accordingly, current US President Joe Biden warned Israel against invading the territory of the city of Rafah, located in southern Gaza. Politico writes about this.

“A major military operation in Rafah should not be carried out without a credible plan to provide security and support to the more than one million people sheltering there. They need protection,” journalists quote the head of state.

It is noted that the American leader made sharp direct criticism of the military operations carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip. He drew attention to the fact that “too many” of the more than 27,000 Palestinians who died in the conflict were completely innocent civilians and were also children.

“Many families have lost not one, but many relatives and cannot mourn them. This is heartbreaking,” the American president summed up his words.

Previously Public News Service reportedthat the number of victims of Israeli strikes on the city of Rafah, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, has increased to 100. In addition, the number of victims as a result of the incident has reached 230.
