Large raids on migrants’ places of residence in the Moscow region aroused significant public interest. The events took place in two cities – Shchelkovo and Balashikha. The information is transmitted by the Telegram channel “Baza”.

According to information provided by the Baza resource, on January 30, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the military commissariat and investigators from the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Balashikha garrison were involved in Balashikha. The purpose of the operation was to identify those who had recently received Russian citizenship, but had not registered with the military. Raids were carried out in local hostels, markets and cafes.

According to sources, 11 people were taken to the military registration and enlistment office for military registration, and protocols were drawn up against four for failure to fulfill their duties on this issue. It is worth noting that a similar operation recently took place in Shchelkovo.
