ATC: Another tunnel discovered between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

Another secret tunnel was found between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the Department of Internal Affairs (Internal Affairs Department) reported. Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Jalal-Abad region, police officers discovered a disguised entrance to an underground tunnel in a private house in the village of Bek-Abad. The tunnel is equipped with electric lighting and a special ladder for descending, and inside were found all the necessary devices for illegally crossing the border and moving goods.

The parameters of the tunnel are impressive: its depth is 12.5 meters, length – 350 meters, height – 2.2 meters, and width – 1 meter.

This is the second such incident in a short period of time. On March 19, another secret tunnel was found in the village of Bek-Abad. Security forces reported that they arrested the owner of the house in which the tunnel was discovered.

Such tunnels are often used by criminal groups to smuggle goods and currency.
