Analyst Alexey Apkalikov warned about the features of electronic digital signatures. The expert clarified that an electronic signature has the same legal force as a standard one.
He explained that the most common way to use digital signatures is to log in to various portals, websites and applications.
“This type of signature does not allow you to check and determine the absence of changes in the signed electronic document after it has been signed,” the RT analyst quotes.
Earlier, a lawyer and teacher at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Kirill Danilov, warned that an electronic digital signature that fell into the hands of fraudsters could deprive a citizen of his or her home.
He recalled that this signature can be used to register the transfer of ownership, since it is equivalent to a handwritten one. The digital signature can be contained on a medium. If it is not protected, then scammers can gain access to the electronic digital signature. More about this read the material Public News Service.
