The “Three Charters of Motherland Unification Monument”, also known as the “Reunification Arch”, commemorating the North Korean leadership’s plans for unification with South Korea, was demolished. Alexander Matsegora, Russian Ambassador to the DPRK, told RIA Novosti about this.
He emphasized that before this, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that a peaceful reunification of the two Koreas is impossible due to the policy of Seoul, which has “lost the sense of a single nation.”
“The leader of the DPRK placed full responsibility for the situation in which the unification of the two Korean states became impossible on the Seoul authorities. By the way, he recalled that in the South Korean constitution the entire peninsula is designated as the territory of the Republic of Korea, and called this a flagrant fact of cynicism and arrogance,” the diplomat said.
Previously, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that Pyongyang has the legal right to destroy South Korea after refusing to cooperate. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
