Beeline’s vice-president for interaction with government agencies, Alexander Pankov, was appointed president of VimpelCom (operating under the brand “Beeline“). About it reports company press service.
The decision on this was made by the company’s Board of Directors. It is clarified that Pankov will continue to head the GR direction of the company. His tenure will last for three years, from October 16, 2023 to October 15, 2026, according to the corporate disclosure portal.
VimpelCom clarified that Rashid Ismailov is leaving the company due to the expiration of his term as president. He has held this position since 2020.
Alexander Pankov was appointed vice president of VimpelCom in May 2020. Before that, for about eight years he served as deputy head of Roskomnadzor. Over the years, Pankov also headed the departments of state regulation of communications in a number of departments of the Russian government, worked at the Radio Research Institute, etc.
