Actress Bainyakshina, who played in the production of “Love and Doves,” has died
Actress of the Irkutsk Academic Drama Theater named after. Nikolai Okhlopkov Galina Baynyakshina died at the age of 83. About it reported in the theatre.
Baynyakshina died on October 9 after a long illness, the press service said. She remained on the theater staff until November 2022, having served the Irkutsk drama for 57 years.
Galina Bainyakshina was born on July 21, 1940. She graduated from the Irkutsk Theater School in 1965, after which she was accepted into the theater troupe. During her service, the actress played more than 100 roles: “Morozko”, “Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich”, “Poor Pierrot”, “Notes of Princess Volkonskaya”, “Love and Doves”, etc.
The actress loved “our little brothers,” the theater noted. “Viewers of the older generation still remember how, in the role of Menachem-Mendl’s mother in “Funeral Prayer,” she appeared together with her toy terrier named Surprise. This added a tender, sensitive note to her ridiculous heroine,” the theater notes.
The last appearance on the theater stage took place on June 25, 2021, when Bainyakshina played in the play “On the Wedding Day.”
