Actor Oleg Basilashvili called Solomin’s death a heavy blow

Soviet and Russian actor Oleg Basilashvili reacted to the death of the artistic director of the Maly Theater Yuri Solomin. Metro died today, January 11.

The artist called the tragic events a heavy blow.

“Very hard blow. I can’t talk now. Sorry,” the portal quotes him as saying.

Let us remind you that Yuri Solomin was hospitalized on November 6. He fainted in the courtyard of the house. Doctors diagnosed the People’s Artist of the USSR with a stroke. It was also reported that Solomin developed bilateral pneumonia and had speech impairment, but there was no official confirmation of this. A few days ago, the artist was discharged from the hospital.

Yuri Solomin will be buried on January 15 at the Troekurovsky cemetery next to his wife. Farewell to him will take place at the Maly Theater.
