9to5Mac: Sealed iPhone 2G with 4 GB sold for 12 million rubles

An unpacked copy of the first iPhone with 4 GB of memory was sold at auction for $130,027, which is approximately 12 million rubles. The publication 9to5Mac reported this.

It is clarified that the initial cost of the device was 17 thousand dollars, but in two days the price jumped to 130,027 dollars. It is known that this iPhone 2G failed to break the sales record of last year, when three such phones were sold at prices ranging from 133 to 190 thousand dollars.

Let’s remember that Apple stopped producing the first iPhone with 4 GB of internal memory some time after its release in 2007, since the 8 GB model was more in demand.

Earlier, as part of the “Treasures from Planet Hollywood” auction from the auction house Heritage Auctions, a door from director James Cameron’s film “Titanic” was sold. More about this read the material Public News Service.
